Heart of Texas Records is proud to announce the release of Mona Vary McCall The Brownsburg Girl. This project contains that earliest recordings of Mona McCall recorded in Canada before her move to the United States. This never before released project highlights Mona's talents at a very early age.
"Many moons ago, I sat in the attic bedroom of our little stone home in Brownsburg, Quebec, Canada putting these songs together," Mona McCall recently said. "I was getting ready to go into the studio and little did I know that the project would all come together in my Brady, Texas, home fifty years later. You are listening to the very young voice of Mona Vary while she dreamed that the sky was the limit."
The Brownsburg Girl was recorded in Cote Des Neiges area of Montreal, Quebec, in 1967. The tracks were originally produced by Dougal Trineer and re engineered by Justin Trevino. The musicians include Guitar and Steel from Dougal Trineer, Bass by Harry Trineer and Drums by Bill Leger.
