The culmination of King's upbringing in Fayetteville, Georgia, right and wrong decisions in love and life, and a desire to remember his roots amid rapid growth, the project also captures King's unique brand of country music, blending elements of classic country, indie rock, and vivid storytelling. 

From childhood memories of his grandmother playing country classics on her kitchen radio to his years spent fronting an indie rock band in Athens, GA, King came by his sound honestly, later relentlessly reworking these influences until his musical vision came into focus, establishing a lane all his own. 

With I'm What You Get, King doesn't simply allude to he might be - instead, he lays all his cards out on the table, marking a bold and honest debut.
