The original LP set Will The Circle Be Unbroken from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band was a landmark country music recording, exposing countless rock fans to old-time country, with a consequent impact on generations of musicians that cannot be gauged.

The initial three-LP set from 1971 produced two sequels, the first in 1989 and the most recent in 2002.
