Who I Am
Alan Jackson has a fine selection of musicians on his 1994 release Who I Am, including Brent Mason on acoustic and electric guitars and 6-string bass, Keith Stegall on acoustic guitar and piano, Paul Franklin, John Hughey on steel guitars, Stuart Duncan and Larry Franklin on fiddles, Hargus "Pig" Robbins on piano) Glenn Worf and John Kelton on bass guitars and Eddie Bayers on drums.
Recorded at The Castle, Franklin, Tennessee, and produced by Keith Stegall, Who I Am features the track Gone Country which was nominated for 1996 Grammy Awards for Best Male Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song.
Alan Jackson's rich baritone glides smoothly through traditional guitar pickin', whining steel and slide guitars, and wailing fiddles. The first track of Who I Am is a party time remake of the Eddie Cochran classic Summertime Blues.
