Traveling Wilburys

The Traveling Wilburys were a supergroup created by George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, and Bob Dylan.

Written by all its members, the debut album Volume 1 was recorded over a ten-day period and released in October 1988. The death of Roy Orbison prevented further full collaborations; however, the band did continue without him.

A second album (Volume 3) was released in October 1990, but did not meet the success and acclaim of the first release. The limited availability of the albums has led to them becoming collectors items before the 2007 box set release which includes many previously unreleased tracks and a video documentary.
