Tony Trischka played banjo throughout the sixties before joining Breakfast Special in 1973. A much in-demand session player, he was associated with David Grisman, Tony Rice, Mike Marshall, Jerry Douglas and many other members of the new generation of acoustic artists of that time.
Tony Trischka was famously banjo teacher for Bela Fleck, who is widely regarded as one of the top players in the world. Trishka was also responsible for film scores and played in several bands in subsequent years.
