Three Days
Embraced on the Texas college circuit as a younger generation's Jerry Jeff Walker, Pat Green leaves little doubt in his music about what he likes (drinking beer, wandering free, driving through the Texas hill country) and what he doesn't (people who judge other people).
After a series of indie releases, his major-label debut Three Days continues his carefree celebration of the Lone Star life on toe-tapping anthems such as Carry On, Take Me Out to a Dancehall, and Texas on My Mind (written by Jerry Jeff's son Django Walker) while extending his range with more thoughtful, subtle material such as Galleywinter.
Willie Nelson joins Green for a trans-generational duet on Threadbare Gypsy Soul, while the title cut is a songwriting collaboration with Radney Foster. ~ Don McLeese
