There's A Hard Time Coming
Since there’s so little on the market currently of Riley Puckett, one of the most prominent musicians of rural music’s golden age, so There's A Hard Time Comin' is a welcome release from the British Archive of Country Music.
Puckett was a fine singer and recorded a lot of material both for Columbia in the 1920’s and for the Bluebird label in the 30’s. There are some nice cuts here with Ted Hawkins and Clayton McMichen, and some good solos.
