The Weepies

The Weepies are indie pop-folk, fronted by singer-songwriters Deb Talan and Steve Tannen. Their music has been described as 'subtly intoxicating folk-pop'.

The two musicians, who were both active in separate singer-songwriter careers, met in 2001 at a show Tannen was playing at Club Passim in Cambridge, MA. They quickly found a deep musical bond and began playing together.

Talan and Tannen are married and reside together in Topanga, California. Talan gave birth to a baby boy, Theo Samuel Tannen, on October 7, 2007.
