The Very Best Of
Tom Fogerty was the older brother of John Fogerty, and the two played together in one of the most successful rock groups of the sixties and seventies, Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Because of tensions within the band, and a desire to sing and record his own material, Tom Fogerty left Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1971. He went on to record nine albums without making anything like the impact of CCR before his death in 1990.
Tom Fogerty's music was a similar mix of blues, country, and rock, but with a very different vocal style to his brother's. He used the CCR rhythm section of Stu Cook and Doug Clifford in his recordings, and Jerry Garcia played on some of his sessions.
The Very Best Of Tom Fogerty chronicles his solo outings, including his first single Goodbye Media Man.
