Sammy Kershaw developed a distinctive sound and style and established himself in the 1990s as a pillar of Honky Tonk-based mainstream Country. Along the way, his album sales took off as he became one of the finest entertainers on the American Country circuit.

He finally broke onto the charts in 1991 with Cadillac Style, and his very traditional delivery brought him many hits throughout the decade such as Queen Of My Double Wide Trailer and his biggest hit, the power ballad Love Of My Life.

The Ultimate Collection is a 2008 compilation, the first to enjoy an official release in the UK.
