James Hand is a country singer songwriter from Waco, Texas. He has worked the Texas music dance hall circuit for decades, never getting much attention - and apparently never asking for any. James Hand makes his national recording debut (he had some previous 'regional' releases) with The Truth Will Set You Free and it truly is just like putting one of Hank Williams' old M-G-M Records (remember the yellow and black label?) vinyl Lp's on your turntable (remember those things that spin around and you drop a needle in a groove?) No doubt, James Hand is likely fed-up with this constant comparison to Hank Williams ... but then again, he's already lived twice as long !!
