The Ones We Never Knew
The granddaughter of Hank Williams, Holly Williams, has produced a debut album in The Ones We Never Knew that has no obvious historical country influence, and is certainly not cut from the same cloth as her rebel-rousing father Hank Jr.
The Ones We Never Knew is a gentle, and introspective folk influenced album, but is as distinctive in its own way as those from her famous lineage, and continues to uphold the qualities and legacy of the Williams name.
There are hushed moments of acoustic guitar and vocals, and rising crescendos of strings. Holly's lyrics are introspective and considered, and the album is elegant and thoughtful throughout.
