The Kindling Collection
The Byrds' Gene Parsons released his first solo album, Kindling in 1973. It received universal critical praise.
That classic album was combined with Gene's finest moments with the Byrds and the mid seventies Flying Burrito Bros. on the extended 1994 Sierra CD The Kindling Collection, highlighted by the some of the last and finest studio performances of the late, great Clarence White on all but four tracks.
The album also features guest appearances by Ralph Stanley and and the late Vassar Clements. Sixty-five minutes in length, it includes detailed recording information and Gene's own narratives of all 22 songs.
