In the crazy, intertwined world of California country music there are many claims to being the 'originators' of the genre. One such claim to fame is The Hillmen, featuring the prodigious talents of Chris Hillman and The Gosdin Brothers.
The Gosdins went on to work with Gene Clark, and of course Hillman himself was forever to be associated with The Byrds, completing the coutnry-rock round trip.
