The Bourbon Legend
Jason Boland is one of the pioneers of the Red Dirt movement, formed in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and has a voice (and attitude) reminiscent of the great Waylon Jennings.
In the same Way that Jennings dismissed the Nashville Sound in favour of true country music with fiddles and steel, Jason Boland and the Stragglers bring that sentiment right up to date with The Bourbon legend.
With songs like, No One left To Blame, and Up And Gone this talented group of musicians has delivered a timely wake up call to those who have turned a blind eye to the ghosts of music past. The album was produced by Grammy Award winner Pete Anderson (Dwight Yoakam, Buck Owens, Lucinda Williams).
