The Bittersweets

The Bittersweets are a San Francisco band featuring Hannah Prater (vocals and guitar), Chris Meyers (vocals, guitar, and piano), Steve Bowman from Counting Crows on drums, Daniel Schacht on bass, and Jerry Becker on piano and guitar.

Chris Meyers is the band’s songwriter, and met Prater who had previously toured Europe as a jazz vocalist. Their album The Life You Always Wanted sees the band evolve from a duo to a five-piece band and made a major impression on the West Coast on its release in the Summer of 2006.

Perfect pop sensibility coupled with a country-rock jangle, topped off by Hannah Praters breezy and soulful vocals.
