Tammy Cochran grew up surrounded by traditional music in Ohio and entered countless talent contests, eventually forming her own band. It was inevitable that she would be drawn towards Nashville, and moved there in 1991.
Success didn't arrive until the turn of the century when Tammy signed to Sony. After some good response to her early singles her career stalled and she parted ways with the label. 2007 has seen the release of a new Tammy Cochran record, Where I Am which should see her re-establish her standing in country music circles.
