A disgruntled employee of a run-down brewery gets fed up with his job, and decides to tell his boss just what he can do with his position. Take This Job And Shove It is a wild, fast- paced comedy released in 1981.
Corporate executive Frank Macklin returns to his hometown of Dubuque, Iowa when the company he works for buys the local brewery there. His job is to make sure that everything runs smoothly -even if conditions worsen for the employees who have been working there for years.
The laborers include Frank's childhood buddies, Harry Meade and Ray Binkowski, who can't believe the kind of person their old friend has become.
Frank also rekindles a relationship with ex-girlfriend 'J.M.' Halstead. When a battle begins between workers and management, and push comes to shove, will Frank side with his pals or his bosses?
David Allan Coe, the writer of the song Take This Job And Shove It which inspired the movie, appears as Mooney.
