Sweet Talk & Good Lies
Despite the glossy makeover on the cover, Sweet Talk & Good Lies still maintains Heather Myles' trademark true blue honky-tonk style, so fans of this traditionalist country singer need not worry that Myles has in any way sold out.
Indeed, Heather has a sly dig at the pop formula hits coming out of Music City in Nashville's Gone Hollywood. Reinforcing the rootsy approach is a duet with Dwight Yoakam on Little Chapel.
Throw in a couple of standards in the form of By The Time I Get To Phoenix and Cry Me A River and you have the makings of another in the long line of fine albums from Ms Myles.
