Tony Joe White - Swamp Music: The Complete Monument Recordings [4 CD Set]

Tony Joe White has defined the Louisiana swamp music sound since his debut in 1969. Swamp Music: The Complete Monument Recordings celebrates the career of this much respected blues/country/folk/soul artist. Three of the CDs in this limited edition box set are re-issues of the first albums Tony Joe released on the Monument label, with a fourth CD comprising of unreleased studio and live performances.

The first album in the set is Black and White, followed by ... Continued and his final album for the label Tony Joe completes the trilogy.

10 tracks as a solo artist were recorded in 1969 but never release, and are included here, along with live recordings made at the Isle Of White festival in 1970 jamming with drummer Cozy Powell as a two-piece. All of Tony Joe White's signature songs are included of course, including the perennial Rainy Night In Georgia
