Suzy Bogguss
Suzy Bogguss recorded a tape in 1986 which was intended for sale at Dolly Parton's Dollywood theme park, but it impressed Capitol Records so much they signed her up.
Suzy reached the Top 15 in 1989 with Cross My Broken Heart and her 1991 album Aces spawned three Top 10 hits; Outbound Plane, Aces and Letting Go. Those successes earned her the Horizon Award for most promising artist at the 1992 CMA awards.
Bogguss and her friend Chet Atkins released the album Simpatico in 1994, and she and husband Doug Crider welcomed a son in 1995. Suzy resurfaced with an album on the Platinum label in 1999 and enjoyed some success with her album Swing! in 2003. Sweet Danger is Suzy's 2007 release following her successful tours with Gretchen Peters and Matraca Berg.
