The new CD from the Jamie Hartford Band is Stuff That Works. Produced by Dave Pomeroy, it features 9 originals written or co-written by Jamie, and new versions of songs by his legendary father, the late John Hartford, Guy Clark and Rodney Crowell.
Stuff That Works showcases The JHB (Jamie Hartford - guitars and lead vocals, Paco Shipp - harmonica, Dave Pomeroy - bass, and Rick Lonow - drums) laying down their signature blend of smoking grooves, resonant emotive vocals, blistering solos and dynamic ensemble work. Long known as one of Nashville most exciting live bands, this is the CD that finally combines the magic of the JHB's live shows with the sonic punch, subtlety and power of the recording studio. They are joined on select tracks by special guests Guy Clark, Pat Mclaughlin, Andy Griggs, Jon Randall, and Mike Henderson.
Standout songs incude the title track, featuring a cameo vocal from Guy Clark, Hopin', Whole World, Lucky One, and When You Gonna Come Around.
