The String Cheese Incident formed in the late 1990s, and although their music is strongly influenced by Bluegrass, their live and recorded works stray into other territories, including rock, country, jazz, reggae and more.
SCI have been described as an ensemble, with all members taking on equal shares in songwriting and lead vocals. They enjoy a huge cult following, with their legions of fans eager to snap up the large catalogue of studio and live recordings.
