Straight Ahead
As the title suggests, Straight Ahead was banjo star J.D. Crowe's most focused and straight-ahead bluegrass album in years on its release in 1986.
Debates will always rage about which incarnation of J D Crowe's New South was the best, but certainly this was the finest lineup of the New South since the mid seventies, featuring Sam Bush on mandolin and Jerry Douglas on Dobro.
