Right at the height of his outlaw country career in 1978, Willie Nelson decided to cut a collection of pop standards produced by Booker T Jones.

Blending pop, country, jazz, and folk in equal measures, Stardust was a risk at the time, but Nelson's unique approach to these classics captured the public's imagination, and the album was to spend ten years in and around the charts.

2008 sees the releases of the 30th Anniversary Legacy Edition which includes the original CD plus a second disc that further explores Willie Nelson's foray into the great American songbook.
