Carrie Underwood is the photogenic winner of the American Idol TV programme, and Some Hearts is her debut album.

Some Hearts has been put together with the help of some of Music Row's top producers, and a clutch of Diane Warren songs that has ensured the success of the album. However, Carrie Underwood does actually possess a fine voice, and her personality is allowed to shine through on the recordings. There is a bluesy feel to Carrie's vocals on Before He Cheats and the piano ballad Starts With Goodbye is an equally impressive showcase.

Some Hearts will be a success and Carrie Underwood is a star because she clearly has talent.
