Sleepless
Born into a family of musicians (her dad traveled with Bob Dylan, her uncle is a guitar maker, etc.) Daisy May Erlewine has been playing music all her life. She learned to sing at an early age and her acoustic guitar is seldom far from her side.
Erlewine who was home schooled paid her singer-songwriter dues in her late teens with several years of hitchhiking back and forth across the U.S. Even riding freight trains and always writing songs and playing her music. She made her living playing music on the road working coast-to-coast from the subways of Philadelphia to the California Coast.
Erlewine has worked a variety of venues mostly on the East Coast and in the Midwest. Everything from Tinker Street Cafe in Woodstock, NY (where Dylan used to play). To a string of cafes and coffee houses in the midwest. Her inspired songs and powerful clear voice have a sweetness that keeps audiences calling for more.
A song journal of her life so far. Sleepless is a beautiful collection of simple, personal songs with timeless, heartful depth.
