Shawn Camp and Billy Burnette
Billy Burnette spent most of his youth in the presence of father Dorsey and uncle Johnny (of the legendary Rock and Roll Trio). In 1985 Burnette was nominated as Best New Male Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music, when Mick Fleetwood called and ask him to join Fleetwood Mac.”Burnette toured with Fleetwood Mac between 1987 and 1995
At the height of his Fleetwood Mac stint, Billy’s songs were being recorded by such famed artists as Roy Orbison, Ray Charles, Rod Stewart, Cher, Faith Hill and Greg Allman.
Spotted by the Grand Ole Opry's Osborne Brothers at an Iowa festival when he was 20, Shawn Camp moved to Nashville in 1987 to play fiddle with the legendary bluegrass act. He became a prolific songwriter, a partnership with Dean Miller, resulting in about 40 songs.
Since then Camp's songs have been recorded by the great and good of Country music and he has released albums under his own name.
