Rollin' With The Flow
Mark Chesnutt is back in 2008, and Rollin' With The Flow will delight hardcore country fans - two steps, waltzes and weeping pedal steel being the order of the day.
Releasing this album on the independent Lofton Creek label has probably allowed Chesnutt to indulge in pure country more than had he been burdened by the commercial needs of a major deal.
Including cuts from writers such as Roger Springer Dean Dillon, Tony Martin, and Mark Nesler lends more weight to the proceedings, but it is probably She Never Got Me Over You, a traditional cheating ballad penned by Keith Whitley that is the pick of the bunch.
This release has been highly anticipated in country circles, and certainly doesn't disappoint. Highly recommended.
