John Gregory - Pictures From Home

Fans of early John Mellencamp or Will Hoge will love Pictures from Home, the debut CD from John Gregory. Heartland guitar work, confessional lyrics and an engagingly hoarse voice combine well to set the scene for anthemic songs, a perfect backdrop for long road trips.

John Mellencap's drummer, and keyboards from the Wallflowers' organist help keep the momentum. You may have heard his song Ride of Your Life at the closing credits of the movie What a Girl Wants. Or you might have heard the same song on commercials for the WB soap One Tree Hill.

Pictures from Home is reminiscent of the great classic rock records of the day put out by artists like Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, and Bob Seger. If this is your bag then this CD is highly recommended.
