Peter Mulvey

What an intriguing artiste Peter Mulvey is. He began writing and singing in bands while studying theatre at Marquette University, Milwaukee, indeed the city where Peter Mulvey hails from. After graduating he travelled to Ireland where he learned the trade of the busker on the streets of Dublin.

Upon his return he settled in Boston, started to mix with the music community and began to record his first of several albums of poignant, intimate and literate urban folk music. Peter Mulvey is one of those songwriters never short of material, seemingly making it sound easy to compose songs with intricate and intelligent lyrics.

Always looking for a challenge, he has worked in modern dance, theatre and has had many songs featured in film and television. He is most at home in front of an intimate live audience, ready to deliver a lesson in song writing. Peter Mulvey, simply a great American songwriter. ~ James Soars
