This band really is country music royalty. From the early seventies as backing band for Rodney Crowell and Rosanne Cash right up this, their 2003 self titled debut release; The Notorious Cherry Bombs have had band members such as Vince Gill, Rodney Crowell, Hank DeVito, Albert Lee and Emory Gordy Jr.

Crowell, DeVito and Gill have always been the mainstays of the band and their laid back approach to the country rock they love is a joy to listen to. Quite simply summed up as superb musicians, having a great time, playing the music they love. Favourite track for me is the rockabilly swing of On The Road To Ruin, great foot tapping music, simple as that.

From the opening track Let It Roll, Let It Ride to the charmingly entitled single It's Hard To Kiss The Lips At Night That Chew Your Ass Out All Day Long, The Notorious Cherry Bombs is an album of unadulterated country boogie at it's best. Highly recommended. ~ James Soars
