Lucy's debut album was The Tide in 1994 which was released to rave reviews, and over the years she has become one of the most in-demand vocalists, lennding her talents to recordings to the likes of Nanci Griffith as well as her own releases. Another project combined the talents of Kaplansky, Dar Williams and Richard Shindell under the banner of Cry Cry Cry.
