On their self-titled debut album, Linda Kay's vocals are pristine, giving an unusual twist to the proceedings given that we are used to a slightly more weathered vocal in this line of music ... Becky Hobbs, for example. The guitar work is top-notch and the music is tight. There's some fun in the Lonesome Spurs songwriting, and plenty of heartache to balance things out.
