Jeff and Vida - Loaded

Jeff and Vida are from New Orleans and Loaded was their 2004 CD release. Alt-country music and old-style Appalachian bluegrass is their style with a mix of raucous dance tracks and powerful ballads.

Vida Wakeman manages to sound both a 'hard woman' on Baby Don't You Do Me Wrong, and then vulnerable on Blessed But Not Favored.  Unforgettable, foot-tapping songs delivered with a passion and a nice touch of humour too.

One of the most popular acoustic roots acts in their home-town Jeff & Vida won The Big Easy Award in 2005 for best folk/country artist in New Orleans.
