This DVD release in the Live From Austin TX Austin City Limits series sees Tony Joe White demonstrate plenty of his trademark swampy, Louisiana blues, but recorded in 1980 there is much to enjoy for country fans too. Mama Don't Let Your Cowboys Grow Up to Be Babies is featured, but of course his tender ballads Billy and the classic Rainy Night in Georgia are some of the highlights.

Tony Joe wouldn't be allowed off the stage without a rendition of Polk Salad Annie and the great man dutifully obliges. Another great slice of history from New West Records.
