Their self-titled debut album is certainly pop orientated, but they do have something about them, as their determination to co-produce and co-write the album testifies. This determination actually led to Little Big Town losing their first record deal, over 'creative differences'. The reuslt is a less formula driven album than was expected, and their pure country vocals around which the group are built gives them a unique sound.
