License To Chill
Unique, funky, enigmatic and charismatic, all these words and more have been used to describe Jimmy Buffett. License To Chill, released in 2004 could well be described as his comeback album. The release was an instant hit, staying at the top of the album chart for weeks, and was in fact nominated for a Grammy.
This superb album has produced several massive country singles including a cover of the Hank Williams classic Hey Good Lookin' and Trip Around The Sun, a duet with Martina McBride.
The duets don't stop there, we also hear Jimmy Buffett performing with George Strait on the glorious Sea Of Heartbreak, Toby Keith on Piece Of Work and a funky rendition of Conky Tonkin' with Clint Black, to name but a few of the bumper sixteen tracks featured on this release. All delivered in that laid back style that Jimmy is famous for.
License To Chill describes this album perfectly, sit back, listen and chill. Just the tonic after a hard days toil, highly recommended. ~ James Soars
