Lady Antebellum were formed in 2006. Georgia's Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood joined with Nashville's Hillary Scott with a resulting musical style that puts modern country alongside sixties soul, with a strong emphasis on harmonies and instrumental skill.
Lady Antebellum's development saw them progress to the Opry, open for some of the biggest names in country music and eventually sign a major label deal in 2007. Paul Worley and Victoria Shaw were at the controls for their self-titled debut album release in 2008.
