Johnny Bush has enjoyed a career stretching back to the mid fifties, working then with Willie Nelson in Ray Price's Cherokee Cowboys.

At the grand old age of 72 Bush has released Kashmere Gardens Mud, a sprightly 13 track trip through some great country standards. Classics such as I'll Sail My Ship Alone and Born to Lose, with guests including Buddy Emmons, Calvin Owens' Orchestra and Willie Nelson himself, make for an enjoyable Lone Star outing.

A further highlight is the cameo appearance of Floyd Tillman - then 88 years young - on his own They Took the Stars Out of Heaven, recorded shortly before his passing in 2003.
