Karl & Harty were genuine mountain boys and this was often reflected in their songs, which included standards like I'm Here To Get My Baby Out Of Jail and The Prisoner's Dream.
Karl plays mandolin, Harty guitar, and their string band was The Cumberland Ridge Runners formed by John Lair who was the founder of The Renfro Valley Barn Dance.
