Joy Lynn White
Joy Lynn White released her debut album in 1992 after landing a contract with Columbia. Then known as Joy White, her fiery vocals and freewheeling honky tonk met with many admirers, but little commercial success.
Re-emerging a couple of years later with the added middle name, White again scored in the critical stakes with her follow-up Wild Love, but again dropped off the radar until her newgrass flavoured album Lucky Few was released in 1997, supported by contributions from heavyweights Jim Lauderdale and Lucinda Williams.
Joy Lynn white has since produced a couple of her own independent releases and continues to collaborate with the likes of the Mavericks and Dwight Yoakam.
