John Anderson
At the age of 17 John Anderson made his way to Nashville, and signed with Warner Bros in 1976. Anderson was at the vanguard of the New Traditionalist movement with artists such as Ricky Skaggs and Reba McEntire. John sold a million copies of Swingin'which earned him two CMA awards.
John Anderson's career cooled a little after that highpoint, and it wasn't until 1993 that his Solid Ground album earned a gold record alongside his Greatest Hits album.
The Academy of Country Music presented him with a Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his 7 no. 1 and 23 top 10 hits.
