Jimmy LaFave got his first recording deal in 1988, but it was his 1992 self-released album Austin Skyline brought his songwriting and vocal talents to the attention of the world.
His songwriting style is influenced by the traditons of Woody Guthrie and Dylan, and indeed his 1998 retrospective collection included a number of Bob Dylan songs. Widely regarded as one of America's greatest songwriters and talents, Jimmy LaFave continues to produce the highest quality soulful Red-Dirt rootsy Americana.
