James Taylor
James Taylor's career began in the 1960s, but it wasn't until the early 1970s that his sensitive and gentle acoustic songs found an audience. He was part of a wave of singer-songwriters of the time that included Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne and Carly Simon, whom he later married. His 1976 Greatest Hits collection was certified diamond and sold more than 11 million copies. This popularity has continued up to the present day, with Taylor now considered to be part of the musical establishment.
