Innuendo
Innuendo is a surprisingly nice 1980 record from one time Fug and session guitar giant Danny 'The Kootch' Kortchmar - done for Asylum with a sound that moves from punchy power pop, to more measured singer songwriter stuff, in the vein of Jackson Browne and Warren Zevon - both of whom the Kootch had worked for.
As was the case with other Asylum records at the end of the 70s/start of the 80s, the production can be a little too much of the era, but the songs are really strong and Danny just doesn't get enough recognition for his work as a headliner!
The album features the talents of Linda Ronstadt, Louise Goffin, Jules Shear, Jim Keltner and Waddy Watchel. ~ Dusty Groove America
