Ian Tyson
Ian & Sylvia were leading lights in the early sixties folk movement, and counted Bob Dylan amongst their fans. After their working partnership came to an end, Ian Tyson settled in Canada and hosted a national TV music show, Nashville North in the early 1970's.
A working rancher, Tyson managed to find time to record Old Corrals & Sagebrush, a mixture of traditional cowboy songs and new western music.
His breakthrough didn't happen until 1986 when Cowboyography reached platinum in Canada. Tyson's most famous somg is of course Four Strong Winds, later to be made famous by the legendary Neil Young.
