For Joe Nichols, it was the memorable single Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off that ensured the success of his third album, III. This track, together with the equally frivolous Size Matters, are not entirely typical of the album which sees Nichols traditionalist values given a good workout.
There are echoes of George and Merle on this album, and the inclusion of the Steve Earle classic My Old Friend The Blues reinforces Joe Nichols' credentials as a singer of depth and subtelty.
