How The West Was Sung
How The West Was Sung is a collection of Royal Wade Kimes' favourite western songs.
Wonderment Records asked him to do 'The Best Of Royal Wade Kimes Western', and typical of the project is the first track Faster Gun; a man caught up in a profession he wishes he was not in, and knowing there is only one way it can end.
You can hear echoes of Johnny Cash in The White Horse. Although RWK does not sound like Cash, this is the same, earnest approach that the Man In Black might have taken.
Garth Brooks once said of Kimes, 'When listening to the record you learn something about the guy, it's an artist record, we lost that in this business. If you're 15 or 90 you'll dig this CD.'
